Staff of the Malaria Vaccine Pilot Evaluation-Case Control (MVPE-CC) study had a refresher training on 26th May, 2023. The training aimed to ensure that all staff members are well-versed in the study procedures, requirements for recruiting participants, the consenting process, and other essential aspects of the study.

MVPE-CC is a multi-country study ongoing in Ghana, Kenya, and Malawi. The study is designed to determine the incremental benefit of the recommended 4 doses of the RTS,S vaccine over 3 doses when implemented through the routine childhood vaccine programme and to determine the association of the RTS,S vaccine with the safety signals identified in the Phase 3 trial of RTS,S.
