Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) attends EDCTP workshop in Dakar, Senegal

Malaria Vaccine Pilot Evaluation-Case Control

On 17-18 November 2022, KHRC participated in the EDCTP Financial and Project Management Training in Dakar, Senegal. KHRC attended the workshop as the coordinating institution on behalf of the consortium that is implementing the ongoing EDCTP funded Malaria Vaccine Pilot Evaluation-Case-Control studies (MVPE-CC) in Ghana, Kenya and Malawi.

The objective of the workshop was to strengthen the capacity for financial and project management of EDCTP2 collaborative projects. The workshop also provided information to participants including, the legal and financial rules and regulations, detailed understanding of the rights and obligations of the EDTCP2 grant agreement, ensuring compliance with EDCTP2 and H2020 rules, and how to prevent delays and ineligible expenses during implementation of EDCTP2 projects.

Dr Thomas Gyan (coordinating fellow) and Mr Abdul Karim (Financial Administrator) attended the training workshop.
